I am super excited to share with you that my work with Together We Cook has been featured on Nancy Pollard’s blog, Kitchen Detail!

For those of you who are not from our neck of the woods, Nancy is a well known and highly respected member of the Old Town Alexandria community, a long-time foodie and former proprietor of the beloved independent kitchen store, La Cuisine, The Cook’s Resource, operated from her home in the heart of Old Town for over 47 years.

Nancy recently gifted three cooking lessons as a birthday gift to her now four year old grandson, looking for giving the gift of an experience instead of clothes or toys, and further nurturing his interest in cooking and eating.  In her blog post, Nancy calls Together We Cook “an outstanding children’s cooking school” and  a “kid-heaven” “led by a gifted children’s teacher who is interested in sustainability, foods from other cultures and organic choices”. Check out the entire post here.

If you haven’t done so yet, check out Nancy’s blog: in addition to recipes, you will find reviews of cookbooks and food-related films, food news and tips, neighborhood happenings, travels and much more, all with just the right sized portion of humor.

You can also catch Nancy next week at the Athenaeum in Old Town for a cookbook talk in support of Washington Post food writer Cathy Barrow’s latest cookbook release When Pies Fly!. The event is organized by our newest independent bookstore Old Town Books and you can sign up here.
